// Cleansing, extraction, and treatment

Facials

Targeted in-office facials that go beyond surface relaxation — deep cleansing, professional extractions, customized active treatments, and physician-grade product application. Selected per skin diagnosis, not per spa menu.

What it is

A facial at Southern Vanity is a clinical service, not a spa ritual. Cleansing, professional extractions when indicated, an active treatment (enzyme, mild peel, hydrating mask, brightening serum) selected per skin diagnosis, and a finishing protective layer.

How we approach it

The first visit includes a skin assessment — type, sensitivity, current product routine, treatment history. The clinician selects the active and the technique per that assessment. Patients on retinoids or recent peels are treated more conservatively. Patients with active acne are routed to extractions and antibacterial protocols.

A maintenance cadence of one facial every four to six weeks supports most clinical skincare routines.

What to expect

A comfortable, results-focused 45- to 75-minute service. Mild flush for an hour. Visible glow at the appointment; clarity through the next several days.

Candidacy

Best for patients seeking maintenance, pre-event prep, or an entry point to clinical skincare. Not for patients expecting results equivalent to peels or microneedling. Active infection in the treatment area is a deferral.

Indicated for

  • Maintenance between deeper treatments
  • Patients new to clinical skincare who want to start somewhere
  • Pre-event prep with no downtime
  • All skin types

Not a candidate if

  • Active infection or open lesions in the treatment area
  • Patients seeking results equivalent to microneedling or peels — different tools
  • Pregnant patients should disclose; some active ingredients are deferred

Before your visit

  • Active ingredients selected per skin type and current product use
  • Sun protection and SPF 50+ after, especially if exfoliating active was used
