// Ultrasound skin tightening + lift

Sofwave

Sofwave (microfocused ultrasound)

Microfocused ultrasound

Sofwave delivers microfocused ultrasound to precise depths in the dermis and the SMAS layer, triggering deep collagen and elastin remodeling. Used to lift and tighten the lower face, jawline, neck, and brow without surgery and without surface downtime.

What it is

Sofwave delivers microfocused ultrasound to precise depths beneath the skin — typically 1.5 mm — without disrupting the surface. The heat triggers immediate tissue contraction and a delayed collagen remodeling response over three to six months.

How we approach it

Candidacy is honest. This is non-surgical, and non-surgical has limits. Patients with significant laxity may see modest improvement but not surgical-grade lift; those patients are better served by a frank conversation about realistic non-surgical outcomes versus a surgical consultation.

For early-to-moderate laxity, the right candidate, the right map, and the right energy depth deliver meaningful and lasting lift. Most patients are treated in a single session per area; some opt for touch-up sessions at 12–18 months.

What to expect

The treatment is 45–90 minutes depending on area. It is felt — deep, brief heat pulses; some patients describe sharp sensations at specific points. Topical anesthesia or oral pre-medication is offered.

There is no surface downtime. Slight tenderness or pinkness for 24 hours is normal. Initial lift is visible at one to two months; final result at three to six.

Candidacy

Best for early-to-moderate laxity of the lower face, jawline, brow, or neck. Not for significant laxity requiring surgery, active infection, pregnancy, or specific implant/pacemaker situations without medical clearance.

Indicated for

  • Early-to-moderate skin laxity in the lower face, jawline, and submental
  • Brow lift in select candidates
  • Patients who can wait three to six months for full result
  • All Fitzpatrick skin types

Not a candidate if

  • Significant laxity requiring surgical lift — this is non-surgical and has limits
  • Active skin infection or open wound in the treatment area
  • Pregnant patients
  • Patients with active implants or pacemakers (consult cardiology)

Before your visit

  • Treatment is firm and feels deep; some patients describe brief sharp sensations at specific points
  • Most patients see best result from one session per area; touch-up at 12–18 months is typical
  • Result is gradual — do not judge at six weeks
